The Atlantic recently published a great article on how and when the U.S. might come out of the current economic downturn (please follow link below to article). Portland is now above 12% unemployment and some apartment owners are feeling the pinch. The Portland Metro Area, due mainly to the attractive lifestyle it offers its residents, is still seeing a healhy in-migration from less affordable states which should help landlords survive the downturn.
