Paradox In Choosing

A wise man said, life is a choice. Life is composed of choices. What we achieved today is the impact of the choices we have done in the past. Life without a choice is very painful, like it or not, like it or not we should live it. However, if a lot of choices to make our lives seem easy? Economics was born because of those choices. In human life is always faced with the choices among constraints that exist and the maximization of satisfaction. Living with several options will indeed make life feel more alive, but alive with the many choices will make us hard and as difficult as not having a choice.

More than a decade ago we only knew milk powder, condensed milk and fresh milk sold in the market. Consumers in those days was not faced with the difficulty in choosing. Simply choose one of three. But at this point, we encounter various kinds of milk, there is a full cream milk, low fat milk, skim milk, milk evaporation, Pasteur milk, flavoured milk, calcium-enriched milk, milk, ultra high temperature (UHT) milk conjugated linoleic acid ( CLA), etc.. This product diversification on the one hand will allow consumers to choose according to need, however, whether in the real world consumers are always rational thinking in buying? More and more choice, consumers tend to be affected by the shackles of rationality (bounded rationality). Keberlebihan information will lead consumers to ignore the way they think they are rational, the most widely purchased products by the public and most often appears on a television screen or a product that already has a known brand is more liked by the community, although there are some other products which benefit is better than with a product that is well known. The above illustration is only to cite that many options were not always good. Number of options would likely trigger a herd behavior (herding behavior) or to imitate others who have previously purchased and will be satisfied regardless of what the product is actually needed and what benefits are expected to purchase a product.

Ways of thinking man's real simple. Malcolm Gladwell once said that great people in making decisions is not a person who has lots of information and spent lots of time to analyze the information she had, however, they have greatness in choosing and selecting what little influence from the many available information. Thus it makes sense when Brian Schwartz in his book Paradox of Choice said that "a lot of that just a little bit and it was actually better." Information that a fair bit of information means that only useful for decision making.

Life is good indeed to choose, but always choose in life is not a virtue. Always wanted to get the best choices in life will cause us to fall into the excessive concerns if the options had not materialized. Being a person who tried to get satisfaction from the existing options with good quality will be more rational than the people who are always trying to maximize the satisfaction of the best choices. Grateful for each of the choices we make and to accept the consequences of each option available is the best way to overcome the emergence of the paradox of the vote. Remember, in choosing to avoid to be people who simply went along. Something that has been chosen not necessarily good, so something a bit selected is not necessarily bad also. The key is always critical thinking in life, sometimes we have to think positive but we also need menyeimbanginya with a negative mind. Adakanya we have to think with logic that is straight, one time we also have to think with logic upside down. Why is that? This world was created by law with the law of balance rather than perfection as in heaven. The choices we make in life whether it has the consequences of good or evil consequences it will establish a balance, and all of those choices will Threaded in a string of life. Do not ever blame what we achieved today, but Think what went wrong in the way we chose in the past.
