THE girl at the centre of the St Kilda nude photos affair has arrived at Melbourne's Federal Court.
In orders that were emailed to the girl and posted on her Twitter account, Justice Shane Marshall instructed that for now she not publish the photographs, which St Kilda says were stolen from the computer of St Kilda player Sam Gilbert, or any other images or videos taken from that computer.
Gilbert's lawyer Will Houghton QC was due to make an application to the court at 2.15pm (AEDT) today that the girl be ordered to permanently delete all electronic images from her computer.he teenage girl who posted lewd photos of St Kilda AFL players on the internet appears to have stepped back from the confrontation she was promoting on the internet, agreeing to surrender all the images she lifted from a computer. The 17-year-old made her much-anticipated appearance in court in Melbourne on Friday where she agreed through her lawyer the images would be deleted from her computer and destroyed.
St Kilda player Sam Gilbert initiated the legal action in the Federal Court on Monday after the girl, who cannot be named, posted nude photos of St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt and teammate Nick Dal Santo on her Facebook page.
In repeated appearances on other social networking sites, the teen said she would defy court orders and would publish more photos she claimed to have of other players. Outside the court, St Kilda vice-president Ross Levin said the club and the AFL had sought a more straightforward resolution of the matter several months ago when they learned the girl had approached the media with the photos.
"There is a Court Hearing tomorrow in the Federal Court at 305 William Street, Melbourne.
"The Court Hearing will take place at 10.30am before Justice Marshall in Court 6A.
"You should be at Court tomorrow. Secondly, she must take all reasonable steps to cease publishing the photographs or any other photograph or image sourced from St Kilda player Sam Gilbert's computer on her account with Facebook.
It comes after the girl, who cann't be named, today said AFL players weren't the role models they may seem to be.
The girl posted a series of short live streamed videos online in the wake of the photos featuring a naked Riewoldt with semi-naked teammate Zac Dawson, and another of NIck Dal Santo, being uploaded on Facebook. Riewoldt, 28, told a packed press conference yesterday he had never met the girl who posted the images.
Gilbert last night apologised to Riewoldt and the club for his part in the drama.
But the girl maintains she took the photos at a Melbourne hotel herself and downloaded them from Gilbert's laptop.
Speaking on radio this morning, AFL boss Andrew Demetriou said the league would continue to provide support to the girl.
Part of the damaging content the girl plans to upload is a video she claims she has taken of AFL players in compromising positions.
A Facebook conversation purported to be between the girl and an AFL player discussing a group sex session has been obtained by the Herald Sun.
Riewoldt yesterday denied he knew of the group sex claims.
