together and forever about family ness. After being on hiatus for the past two years, the YG Family Concert is ON for 2010. The YG Family Concert series began in 2003 and was held at the end of every year until being cancelled for 2008 and 2009 for various reasons. The concert will be held on two days Saturday, December 4th and Sunday, December 5th at Seoul Olympic Stadium. The stadium can hold 18,000 concert goers per night meaning a total of 36,000 lucky YG Family fans will be able to enjoy the show (although I know some greedy fans might go to both nights). The YG family wraps up a successful ‘2010 YG Family Concert’.
After much anticipation and hype amongst fans, the YG Family of 2NE1, Se7en, Gummy, Big Bang and Psy, finally came together to passionately hold a fun-filled ‘YG Family Concert’ for their fans to enjoy.
On December 5th at 7PM, 12,000 spectators began to gather in front of the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium, all itching to get inside. Combining both nights of their two-day concert, the YG family managed to gather a total of 36,000 spectators, with both nights being completely sold out.
2NE1 had the honor of kick starting the night with their overflowing energy. They began with ‘Fire‘, followed up by ‘Go Away’ and ‘I Don’t Care‘. As this was considered to be the group’s first official concert, Sandara Park expressed her delight as she said, “It’s an honor to perform with our sunbaes at this awesome concert.”
The YG Family has held their “ONE CONCERT” every year since 2003, however fans were left highly disappointed when the concert wasn’t held back in 2008 and in 2009. Being the first concert in three years, YGE will be bringing together their hottest stars - 2NE1, Gummy, Se7en, and Big Bang. PSY will also be joining them on stage as the newest family member.
2NE1 has consistently expressed their wish for a concert this year, and it seems as if it’s finally coming true. Big Bang also commented, “We’re extremely excited at the thought of being able to meet our fans after such a long absence.”
